We offer primary care, grooming, bathing, and daycare services for dogs and cats in Potomac, the DC-Metro area, and Montgomery County.

Falls Road Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
Your role as a Veterinary Assistant involves providing end-to-end care for our patients, including outpatient treatments, laboratory tests, and support services such as admitting and discharging patients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures following your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
- Maintain medical records with practice systems.
- Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
- Support and mentor fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- 1-2 years of clinical experience
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred, or equivalent education, training, and experience.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, with hourly pay starting at $20-$30. The actual rate will consider your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
