Veterinary Assistant
Location: Great Falls, VA 22066
Schedule: Full-Time | M-F, every other half Saturday
Pay Range: $17.37 – $22.00/hour dependent on experience

Seneca Hill Animal Hospital Resort and Spa is a full-service, AAHA Accredited veterinary facility in the heart of Great Falls, VA. We offer medical, surgical, boarding, grooming, and rehabilitation services in a modern, well-equipped setting. As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about animal care and thrives in a team-first environment. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support our veterinary team in a wide range of responsibilities while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Who You Are
- 1+ year of veterinary assistant experience preferred, but we welcome fast learners with strong potential
- Able to work some evenings and at least every other Saturday (8a–2p)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine love for animals.
- A team player with a positive attitude and growth mindset
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Open to learning, setting goals, and being mentored by credentialed technicians and DVMs
- Able to work with a variety of personalities in a team environment
What You’ll Do
- Assist with patient restraint, treatments, and basic care
- Support technicians and doctors during exams, surgeries, and procedures
- Clean and maintain hospital equipment and workspaces
- Monitor patient comfort and well-being throughout their stay
- Communicate professionally and kindly with clients
- Help maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols
- Contribute to a team culture focused on learning, problem-solving, and collaboration
