We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing hospital and provide exceptional care to our patients. You will work alongside skilled Vet Assistants, support our Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, and assist DVMs in daily hospital operations. Position Skills:
  • Assist DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, surgical prep, and minor procedures
  • Restrain animals safely and compassionately
  • Obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, and note changes in patient conditions
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytologies
  • Maintain medical equipment including laboratory machines, surgical packs, and anesthesia equipment
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient updates and questions
Position Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling
  • Strong communication skills, good judgment, ability to manage stress, and team collaboration
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
