Job description

Council Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our outstanding team. Previous veterinary or animal handling experience is strongly desired but we are also willing to train the right person!

This is a full-time position comprised of 5-8hr hour shifts, Monday - Friday. No weekends!

The ideal candidate:

• Previous Veterinary or animal handling experience preferred
• Reliable individuals who demonstrate strong communication and animal handling skills
• Positive, outgoing people-person with exceptional customer service skills
• Team players with an incredible work ethic and can-do attitude

Required qualifications and skillset:

• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Assisting in exams
  • Surgical set up and assisting

  • Administering vaccines and medications
  • Obtain patient TPR
  • Venipuncture
