VCA Mission Animal and Bird Hospital in Oceanside, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The role involves supporting doctors and technicians and creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.

Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, preparing the surgical suite and patients, filling prescriptions, performing lab work and diagnostic imaging, and providing compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets.

Job description

VCA Mission Animal and Bird Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Location: 655 Benet Rd, Oceanside, CA 92058

Salary: $21 to $22.50 per hour

Schedule: Full-time,

Days: Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday

Hours: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm or 8:30 am to 7:00 pm

In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records.

• Preparing the surgical suite and surgical patients.

• Filling prescriptions.

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
