Job summary

VCA Parkwood Animal Hospital in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant on a part-time basis. The role supports technicians and doctors, provides a low-stress client and patient experience, and assists with exams, anesthesia prep, dentistry, radiology, lab work, venipuncture, catheter placement, pharmacy tasks, and hospitalized animal care.

Responsibilities

• Support technicians and doctors by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
• Assist with exams, anesthesia preparation and patient recovery.
• Perform dentistry, radiology, and laboratory tasks as needed.
• Conduct venipuncture and catheter placement; handle pharmacy-related tasks.
• Care for hospitalized animals with compassion and professionalism.

Location: 6330 Fallbrook Ave, Woodland Hills, CA 91367

Schedule: Part-Time. Hospital is open Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday

Salary: $ 25 / hour, dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.
