Job summary

Bellevue Animal Clinic in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for a 6-month position with potential to become permanent. You will assist with restraint, triage, lab work, imaging, nursing care, and anesthesia, while communicating treatment plans to clients.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
• Compassionate, calm demeanor, team player, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to properly restrain pets and work under pressure.
• Experience with sample collection, histories, lab processing, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring is a bonus.
• Self-starter who wants to grow knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint and triage of incoming patients.
• Collection and analysis of lab samples and radiographs.
• Diagnostic imaging, nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases.
• Administration of medications and treatment plans communication with clients.

Bellevue Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast paced 3 doctor small animal practice located in Little Rock, AR. We have developed strong relationships with our clients. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Preventative Care, Surgery, Urgent Care, High Speed Dentistry, Cold Laser Therapy, In-House Diagnostics, Digital full body and dental radiology, Ultrasonography, Medical and/or Vacation Boarding and more. This is a 6-month position with potential to become a permanent, long-term opportunity.

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
