Job summary

The VCA Village Park Animal Hospital in La Quinta, CA is seeking a Full Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to work weekdays in a fast-paced setting. The role supports technicians and doctors to deliver high-quality care while ensuring a positive experience for clients and patients.

Open Monday–Friday with a schedule of 8 am–6 pm, compensation is competitive, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and pet discounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum on-site full-time availability; Mon-Fri 8am-6pm.
• Experience as Veterinary Assistant preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and doctors to provide patient care.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgery.
• Perform radiology and lab work.
• Venipuncture and catheter placement.
• Pharmacy duties and medication preparation.
• Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals and support client communication.

Compensation: $ 19 - $ 22 / hour

Schedule: Open Monday - Friday

Location: 51230 Eisenhower Drive, La Quinta, CA 92253

Village Park Animal Hospital is set in beautiful La Quinta, California. We are an established small animal practice. Our four doctor staff and 20+ support team are committed to high quality care provided through a special partnership with our clients. We provide wellness and preventative care, general medicine and surgery. Our state of the art practice emphasizes rehabilitation and integrated medicine. We offer animal rehabilitation utilizing underwater treadmill on-site as well as laser therapy.

We are looking for a Full Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant who can work weekdays in our fast paced facility. Our hospital is open 5 days a week; M-F 8 am-6 pm.
