Job summary

South Maui Animal Clinic, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our Kihei, HI team. You will play a vital role in delivering end-to-end care for patients, including outpatient treatments, lab work, admissions, and discharges.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience as a Vet Tech Assistant or Vet Tech; 2–3 years preferred.
• Registered, Licensed, or Certified Veterinary Technicians will be highly considered.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Handle animals and provide pre‑ and post‑operative care.
• Create and present financial options and estimates.
• Accurately enter service charges into client processing database.
• Extensive client interaction and education.
• Prepare medications and administer treatments as directed.

South Maui Animal Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end‑to‑end care for our precious patients. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:

• Animal Handling
• Pre‑and post‑operative patient care
• Creating and presenting financial options and estimates
• Accurately entering service charges into client processing database
• Extensive client interaction and education
• Preparing medications
• Taking X‑Rays of animals
• Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by our in‑house veterinarians.
• Drawing blood samples for testing

Experience and Skills Requirements:

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience as a Vet Tech Assistant or Vet Tech, 2‑3 years preferred.
• Registered, Licensed, and Certified Veterinary Technicians will also be highly considered.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology

Compensation-

$21-$25 Hourly depending on experience.
