Job summary

The Fix Machine is a two-doctor small animal practice in the Tri-Cities area seeking a Veterinary Assistant. The role focuses on high-quality patient care, client interactions, and a supportive team environment.

Previous veterinary or client-care experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow skills in dentistry, spays/neuters, and wellness care. We offer a four-day workweek, weekends off, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, tuition support,

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including patient prep, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
  • Take patient histories and record vitals accurately.
  • Perform patient assessments and communicate concerns to the medical team.
  • Provide compassionate care and comfort to patients during visits.
  • Educate clients with clarity and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document care thoroughly.
  • Keep treatment and exam areas clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Collaborate with teammates for efficient hospital workflow.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture.

Role: Veterinary Assistant

Status: Full-time

Salary: $17.13 - $18.50 / hour

Schedule: Four-day workweeks. Weekends off.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
