Elk Creek Animal Hospital in the United States is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our established practice. The role involves assisting veterinarians and technicians with exams, restraining patients, preparing rooms, and administering treatments to ensure exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient examinations and treatments.
  • Safely restrain patients for procedures and diagnostics.
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Collect laboratory samples and assist with in-house diagnostics.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing support.
  • Educate clients on basic patient care, medications, and preventive health.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Keep the hospital clean, organized, and well stocked.
  • Support daily hospital operations while providing exceptional client service.

  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 am–5:30 pm and rotating Saturdays 8:00 am–12:00 pm
