VCA College Hill Animal Hospitalis seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant with patient care skills to join our team!

About Us

Our well-established, AAHA-accredited 2-doctor GP Hospital is open 7:30am - 6:30pm on Monday & Wednesday, 7:30am - 6pm Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, 8am - 1pm on Saturday & Closed on Sunday.

Our wide range of services include primary care, illness care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, endoscopy, ultrasound, boarding, grooming, and much more. We see dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients, clients, and team. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Medication preparation and administration
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping

Qualifications:

• A year or more of skilled veterinary assisting experience
• Compassion for patients, clients and team
• Able to lift 40lbs+ and proficient in dog and cat patient handling
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, electronic medical records
