Job Description

Responsibilities include pet restraint, triage, lab sample collection and analysis, diagnostic imaging, nursing care, medication administration, client communication, surgical prep and assistance, and anesthetic management. Must withstand odors and noises and be exposed to animal waste, bites, scratches, and contagious diseases. Opportunities for growth include virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred.
• Compassionate, calm, team-oriented, multi-tasker, and strong communicator.
• Ability to properly restrain pets.
• Proficiency in sample collection, medical histories, lab tests, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring is a plus.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow.
