Job summary

Best Friends Animal Hospital, part of Vetcor, is hiring an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician. The role involves triaging patients, assisting with emergencies, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with veterinarians.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician credential preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a veterinary hospital preferred.
  • Strong technical and patient care skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and assist with emergency care as needed.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories and maintain accurate treatment records.
  • Administer and dispense medications as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging and support diagnostic testing.
  • Calculate medication dosages accurately and safely.
  • Educate clients on preventative care, treatments, and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do
  • Triage patients and assist with emergency care as needed

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician credential preferred but not required
