Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and assist with emergency and urgent-care cases.
  • Obtain complete histories and maintain accurate treatment records.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide care during recovery.
  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
  • Administer medications and perform dosage calculations.
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging and laboratory procedures; provide client education.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do
  • Triage patients and assist with emergency and urgent-care cases
  • Obtain complete patient histories and maintain accurate treatment records
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
  • Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive care throughout recovery
  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Administer and dispense medications as directed
  • Perform medication and dosage calculations
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging and laboratory proceduresProvide preventive-care support and client education
  • Perform CPR and assist with emergency stabilization when needed
  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
  • Previous hands-on veterinary hospital experience
  • Veterinary Technician licensure or credentialing preferred, but experienced Veterinary Technician candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with emergency care and patient triage
  • Knowledge of preventive care and common veterinary medications
  • Confidence with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
  • Experience with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
  • Strong diagnostic imaging and laboratory skills
  • Understanding of medication and dosage calculations
  • Ability to maintain clear and accurate patient records
