Veterinary Care & Specialty Group in Chattanooga is expanding anesthesia services and seeking a qualified Anesthesia Technician to join our team. You will help elevate care for animal patients through anesthesia administration, monitoring, and careful record-keeping.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of anesthetic monitoring in a veterinary setting, strong drug knowledge, and excellent communication. A preference for LVT or equivalent certification is noted.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2 years of anesthetic monitoring in a veterinary setting.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary anesthetic drugs and their effects.
• Skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and drug calculations.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Preference for LVT or equivalent certification.

Aufgaben

• Pre-Procedure Prep: ensure patient, equipment, medications, and procedure areas are ready for planned and emergent procedures.
• Anesthesia Administration: induce and maintain animals under general anesthesia and sedation.
• Patient Monitoring: adjust anesthesia levels and respond to emergencies.
• Recovery: monitor and ensure a safe and gentle recovery.
• Record-Keeping: document anesthetic procedures and responses.
• Collaboration: coordinate anesthesia protocols with department teams and communicate patient status.
• Equipment Management: maintain and calibrate anesthesia machines, ventilators, and monitoring devices.
• Patient Advocacy: maintain patient comfort and post-anesthetic recovery protocols.
