Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center - Knoxville, TN is seeking an Anesthesia & Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our specialty team. You will work alongside an on-staff Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, providing advanced anesthesia monitoring and surgical support for orthopedic, soft tissue, trauma, and specialty procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of anesthesia experience, holds Tennessee license, and is comfortable with rotating on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Current veterinary technician license valid in Tennessee.
• Minimum 2–3 years of general anesthesia and emergency or specialty protocol experience.
• Ability to work rotating on-call schedule and collaborate with veterinarians.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor anesthesia for orthopedic, soft tissue, trauma, and specialty procedures.
• Assist surgeons and maintain sterile technique during operations.
• Maintain anesthesia records and patient monitoring across perioperative periods.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologist and veterinary teams for patient care.
• Provide perioperative nursing care and emergency stabilization as needed.
