Job summary

MSPCA-Angell West seeks an Anesthetic Recovery Technician/Assistant to provide high-quality post-anesthetic monitoring for patients across services including Surgery, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Dermatology and Radiology. The role collaborates with interns, residents, and multiple teams to support care and ensure smooth unit operations.

Responsibilities include recovering patients after procedures, recognizing post-anesthetic complications, and performing tasks such as venipuncture, IV

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of veterinary surgery or emergency experience.
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required to hire with technician title.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Recover patients from anesthetic procedures and manage care for the remainder of their shift.
• Identify post-anesthetic complications and relay information to the supervising team.
• Perform procedures such as venipuncture, IV access, emergent support, and patient transport.
