Job summary

Rarebreed Veterinary Partners in Westford, MA is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Veterinary Technician to support anesthesia and pain management for dogs and cats in our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital. You will work with anesthesia, surgery, and critical care teams to ensure safe, individualized care across a range of procedures.

The role requires hands-on anesthesia experience, meticulous monitoring, and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• Two years of veterinary technician experience with anesthesia
• Experience monitoring patients under general anesthesia
• Strong understanding of anesthetic medications and analgesia

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out individualized anesthetic plans with the team
• Prepare patients for anesthesia and perform pre-anesthetic diagnostics
• Assist with induction, intubation, maintenance and recovery
• Monitor cardiovascular, respiratory, neurologic, and temperature parameters during procedures
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and communicate status to the team
