Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Veterinary Anesthesia Nurse to join our Surgery team in a float role focused on anesthesia. Based primarily in Buzzards Bay, MA, you will support anesthesia for procedures across multiple specialties, working with experienced doctors and nurses to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year anesthesia, surgery, or in-patient nursing experience.
• Strong skills in anesthesia, analgesia, and patient safety.
• Ability to work across departments in a busy specialty hospital.
• Clear communication with doctors, specialists, and nursing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia support for procedures across multiple specialty departments.
• Perform induction, monitoring, and recovery with attention to patient safety and comfort.
• Recognize anesthetic trends and respond to changes in patient status.
• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia and monitoring equipment.
• Partner with specialists, doctors, and nursing teams to move procedures safely.
• Complete accurate and thorough patient documentation.
• Adjust to changing caseloads and support the team where needed.
• Help train and support team members when appropriate.
• Bring a calm, team-focused approach to a busy specialty setting.
