Job summary

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Anesthesia team. This full-time role offers advanced anesthesia, surgery, and critical care exposure in a Level 1 Emergency & Critical Care specialty hospital.

You’ll collaborate with board-certified specialists and VTS technicians, perform patient assessments, assist in the OR, monitor anesthesia, and deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Technician preferred; anesthesia, surgery or critical care experience valued.
• Fluent English reading and speaking required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty hospital.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with board-certified specialists and VTS technicians to manage advanced anesthesia cases.
• Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and nursing care alongside each surgeon.
• Obtain and process laboratory samples; monitor and recover anesthesia events.
• Assist in the OR as circulating nurse and scrub-in during orthopedic/specialty procedures.
• Monitor anesthetized patients with advanced equipment and ensure patient safety.
