Job summary

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking an on-call Veterinary Surgery/Anesthesia Technician to monitor anesthesia for emergency surgeries. The role offers per diem hours with the option for full-time, and work on nights and/or weekends as needed.

The ideal candidate has surgical veterinary experience, advanced anesthesia skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining patient care. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and thrive as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVT preferred as certification.
• Four years of surgical veterinary experience.
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures and diseases related to surgery.
• Advanced anesthesia and analgesia experience with ASA I-V monitoring.
• Excellent communication, time management, problem solving, and multitasking.
• Ability to anticipate and be detail oriented due to high level of patient care.
• Enthusiastic team player with patient, and positive professional attitude.
• Must lift and restrain pets up to 50 pounds and stand most of the day.
