Job summary

Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center in Fargo, ND seeks a full-time Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery Technician to contribute to advanced patient care on a dedicated specialty team. The role focuses on anesthesia during surgeries, perioperative care, and radiographic support, with a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule and 10-hour shifts.

You will manage anesthesia protocols, administer epidurals and nerve blocks, assist during surgeries, and train junior staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program or equivalent surgery experience.
• Confident with IV catheters, phlebotomy, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Strong math skills and attention to controlled substances.
• Clear, professional communication skills.

This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to contribute to advanced patient care.

Schedule: This is a full-time position working Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts, with no weekends or holidays.

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER

As our Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery Technician, you'll manage anesthesia during surgeries, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Your duties include administering epidurals and local nerve blocks, managing drug protocols, and assisting with perioperative and post-operative care. You'll also take radiographs, support CT imaging, and communicate with veterinarians, clients, and team members. Additionally, you'll help train less experienced staff to maintain high care standards.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
