Job summary

Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center in Fargo, ND seeks a full-time Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery Technician to contribute to advanced patient care on a dedicated specialty team. The role focuses on anesthesia during surgeries, perioperative care, and radiographic support, with a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule and 10-hour shifts.

You will manage anesthesia protocols, administer epidurals and nerve blocks, assist during surgeries, and train junior staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program or equivalent surgery experience.
• Confident with IV catheters, phlebotomy, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Strong math skills and attention to controlled substances.
• Clear, professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage anesthesia during surgeries, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Administer epidurals and local nerve blocks.
• Manage drug protocols and perioperative care.
• Assist with perioperative and post-operative care.
