Red River Animal Emergency Clinic in Fargo, ND is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Medication Technician to support emergency and specialty services. This role focuses on precise medication preparation, accurate labeling, and compliant record-keeping to ensure patient safety.

You'll collaborate with veterinarians and technicians, manage prescriptions through EzyVet and external partners, and oversee Cubex inventory while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Current LVT or licensed pharmacy tech
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, sterile compounding principles, and dosage calculations
• Experience with medication preparation and handling
• Working knowledge of pharmacy inventory systems and automated dispensing systems
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work around veterinary patients

SCHEDULE FOR OUR LICENSED VETERINARY MEDICATION TECHNICIAN:

This full-time position requires flexibility, with a typical 10:00 AM-10:00 PM shift, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts based on hospital needs.

YOUR ROLE AS A LICENSED VETERINARY MEDICATION TECHNICIAN:

In this role, you'll review medication orders, prepare precise dosages, and ensure every label and record meets strict standards. You'll collaborate closely with veterinarians and technicians, prepare a variety of medications including injectables and compounded treatments, and manage prescription workflows through EzyVet and external partners. As you oversee inventory, maintain the Cubex system, and monitor compliance, your attention to detail will keep operations running smoothly and safely, allowing the clinical team to focus on delivering exceptional care.

In order to do this, you'll need the following:

• Current LVT or licensed pharmacy tech
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, sterile compounding principles, and dosage calculations
• Experience with medication preparation and handling
• Working knowledge of pharmacy inventory systems and automated medication dispensing systems (Cubex experience preferred)
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work around veterinary patients

Preferred candidates have experience in pharmacy, veterinary, emergency, specialty, or healthcare settings, along with familiarity with EzyVet, Cubex, sterile compounding, medication preparation, and inventory systems.
