The Role

• Lead day-to-day hospital operations to deliver excellent client service and patient care
• Hire, train, schedule, and develop support teams; set clear goals and provide timely feedback and performance reviews
• Partner closely with the lead veterinarian/medical leadership to align medical standards with operational excellence
• Manage payroll, timekeeping, and labor targets; ensure accurate daily financials
• Oversee inventory, vendor relationships, purchasing, and facility maintenance
• Guide budgeting, revenue growth initiatives, and expense management; monitor KPIs and P&L
• Maintain compliant policies and procedures; support safety, quality, and regulatory adherence
• Elevate the client experience by resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Support accurate billing, charge capture, and local accounting functions
• Champion a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• At least 5 years of office management experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory role
• Veterinary or healthcare practice leadership experience strongly preferred; CVPM or MHA a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management software
• Demonstrated strength in hiring, coaching, and team development
• Solid financial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong time-management and organization
• Ability to work around animals and typical clinical substances; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
• Flexibility to support a schedule that may include some weekends and holidays
• License to practice in Colorado, as applicable to credentials for this role, and eligibility to work in the United States
