Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. seeks a Financial Readiness Specialist to deliver financial education and supportive services to wounded warriors and their families.

The role focuses on individualized financial planning, case management, and connecting clients with internal and external resources. Responsibilities include delivering seminars, maintaining case notes, and coordinating with partners to improve economic well-being and resilience for veterans in crisis situations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in personal financial management principles and ability to explain methods for improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to veterans and families' needs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment in crisis situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to educate groups.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Public speaking skills to deliver financial education to large groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver financial education programs and curriculum for wounded service members and families.
• Manage a Financial Readiness caseload with detailed records and reporting.
• Coordinate with vendors and external resources to provide financial guidance and seminars.
• Provide practical financial guidance and help develop personalized resiliency plans.
• Conduct ongoing education, support, and goal setting to encourage accountability.
• Record data in the WWP Salesforce system and refer to appropriate programs.
