Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration in Tomah, Wisconsin is seeking a Health Aid to support patient transport within the Medical Center. This role focuses on safe, reliable movement of Veterans between units and clinical areas, under supervision.

You will assist Nurses with transporting patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, help with related tasks, and maintain professional communication and safety practices during all duties. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, 20 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Transport non-critical ill patients; transport Veterans by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Assist Nurses with transporting Veterans and maneuver equipment.
• Maintain safety and report unsafe conditions during transport.
• Handle receptionist tasks as needed for transport Center presence.
