The Veterans Health Administration at James A. Haley VA Medical Center is seeking a Transporter to move patients safely and coordinate with nursing, radiology, and environmental services to improve patient flow across the campus.

You will transport medically stable patients, assist with positioning and daily living activities during transport, and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Transcript must be submitted with your application.
• Education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Foreign education requires Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with transcript.

Responsabilités

• Move patients safely throughout the medical center and communicate with staff and families.
• Transport medically stable patients not requiring complex interventions.
• Monitor patient condition during transport and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with transport documentation, equipment checks, and inventories.
• Backup to Transport Dispatcher and use transport software to process requests.
