Job summary

Endeavors is seeking an Outreach Specialist to promote the program and conduct full eligibility screenings for Veterans to prevent homelessness. You will engage with community groups, shelters, and stand-downs to raise awareness and connect Veterans with resources. Daily travel to various locations is required.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ year of customer service experience. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential for onsite outreach and reporting

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a customer service focused environment.
• Experience with homeless, low income, veterans & their families is a strong plus.
• Driver’s license with clear record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and networking activities in the community (stand-downs, shelters, bus stations, etc.).
• Provide presentations at community groups within the greater metropolitan area.
• Perform initial eligibility screening for Veterans seeking program assistance and refer as needed.
• Set up initial client files for Veterans assigned to a Case Manager; prepare reports as requested.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and maintain professional conduct to empower Veterans and families.
