Job summary

U.S.VETS is seeking a Veterans Connection Hub Coordinator to report to the Executive Director at the designated site. The role oversees day-to-day operations of the Veterans Connection Hub, enabling access to prevention, outreach and comprehensive veteran services.

The Coordinator will screen and engage veterans, perform assessments, coordinate with internal programs, manage partnerships, and help ensure a trauma-informed, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field is required.
• Experience working with veteran population preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse clients, staff and community members.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Leadership and conflict management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and in a team.
• Proficient in data entry and analyzing data to identify trends.
• Valid driver’s license required and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets, screens, and engages veterans seeking services through walk-ins, phone inquiries, and referrals.
• Conducts initial assessments and prevention screenings using approved tools.
• Provides warm handoffs to internal programs and coordinates connections to housing, benefits, legal services, medical/behavioral care, employment, and resources.
• Oversees daily operations of the Veterans Connection Hub and ensures smooth intake flow.
• Triages veteran needs and prioritizes urgent cases such as homelessness risk or safety concerns.
• Maintains hub calendar, service desk, and space-sharing arrangements with partner agencies.
• Coordinates with program staff to submit requests for supportive service funds and to meet client needs.
