Socket.dev is seeking a Resource Specialist to support veterans and their families in transitioning to housing. The role involves creating housing service plans, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely placement of participants into permanent housing.

The position requires a social services background, strong data-entry skills, and the ability to work with multiple service providers. Travel to off-site meetings may be necessary, with a focus on confidentiality and grant compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a social services program providing case management.
  • One year experience with low-income/homeless or Veterans.
  • First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
  • Fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for off-site travel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a caseload including veterans with significant housing barriers.
  • Conducts intake/eligibility meetings and completes eligibility forms.
  • Develops housing service plans to achieve permanent housing within 30 days.
  • Coordinates with PAV Contract Specialists for service verification and approvals.
  • Performs ongoing follow-ups and 90-day re-certifications as required.
  • Completes weekly and monthly status reports on caseload.
  • Registers participants for the SSVF satisfaction survey.
  • Attends agency trainings and partner meetings as requested.
