Job summary

Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana is seeking a Housing Coordinator to build relationships with property owners and place veteran families into permanent housing under the SSVF program. You will tour inventory, negotiate leases, and conduct pre-move-in inspections to ensure tenancy readiness.

Work with case management to resolve tenancy issues and coordinate with landlords to maintain compliant housing. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years related experience are preferred, with emphasis on

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school preferred.
• Three to five years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Experience negotiating contracts, lease terms, and agreements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with property owners to provide housing for clients.
• Tour inventory, negotiate leases, and conduct pre-move-in inspections.
• Facilitate resolution of issues between landlord and client during tenancy with case management.
• Support veterans’ families in securing permanent housing.
