Job summary

EightCAP, Inc. seeks a Veteran’s Resource Specialist-SSVF to serve low-income veteran families. You will coordinate outreach, case management, and access to VA and community benefits to prevent homelessness and promote stability.

This position requires collaborating with providers, housing inspections, and maintaining confidentiality while documenting in HMIS. Travel within the service district is expected; a Michigan driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Successful clearance of DHS Central Registry and Criminal History Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management and follow-up support.
• Develop individualized housing and service plans.
• Monitor progress to promote housing stability and self-sufficiency.
• Identify and apply for mainstream benefits (TANF, VA, SSI, FS, Medicaid, WIC).
• Conduct housing inspections and coordinate with landlords.
• Document notes accurately and maintain HMIS data.
