Job summary

State of Oklahoma Veterans Affairs Department seeks a Veterans Home Administrator for the Norman Veterans Home in Norman, OK. The role directs operations of a long-term health care facility with on-site laboratory, x-ray, pharmacy and full-time physicians.

Annual salary is commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will oversee staff, budgets, and program compliance, coordinating with state and federal agencies to maintain quality care for eligible veterans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, public health or hospital administration or closely related field.
• Four (4) years of professional level experience in a managerial or administrative capacity in a health or nursing care facility or programs for veterans or military personnel.
• Licensing as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the operation of a state veterans home providing long term health care and quality medical services to eligible veterans, including staff and budget oversight.
• Plans and directs patient care programs, support services, volunteer programs, risk management, and training activities while managing budgets and staffing.
• Coordinates with state and federal agencies, negotiates contracts, reviews purchases, and ensures compliance with budgetary and regulatory requirements.
