Job summary

Prince William County Community Services seeks a Service Members, Veterans, and Families (SMVF) Coordinator/Clinical Services Case Worker within the ACCESS team. This role provides short-term counseling, comprehensive behavioral health assessments, and crisis intervention for service members, veterans, and their families seeking mental health and/or substance use services.

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
• Current LPC or LCSW license or ability to obtain within four years.
• At least 1 year of experience with adults and veterans in mental health outpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term counseling and behavioral health assessments for SMVF individuals.
• Perform crisis intervention and develop risk management and safety plans.
• Provide ongoing care coordination and case management for assigned SMVF clients.
• Offer consultation to families, professionals, and community agencies to facilitate access to resources.
