Job summary

Prince William County Government seeks a qualified mental health professional to serve as the Service Members, Veterans, and Families (SMVF) Coordinator/Clinical Services Case Worker within the ACCESS team. Responsibilities include assessments, crisis intervention, and care coordination for SMVF, with emphasis on timely access to services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field.
• Currently possess LPC or LCSW, or ability to obtain LPC or LCSW license in Virginia within four years of hire.
• 1 year of experience delivering human services to adults and veterans in Mental Health, Substance Use, or Emergency Services outpatient program.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term counseling, behavioral health assessments and screenings (C-SSRS, SMI, ASAM, WHODAS) for SMVF.
• Deliver crisis intervention for individuals in acute behavioral health need and develop risk-management and safety plans.
• Provide ongoing care coordination and case management to assigned SMVF.
• Offer consultation and technical assistance to families, professionals, and community agencies to facilitate access to resources and continuity of care.
