Lone Star College is seeking a Coordinator II, Veterans School Certifying Official (SCO) to support veteran and military students using VA and DoD education benefits. You will certify benefits, advise students, and coordinate with departments to ensure compliance and timely processing.

This role requires knowledge of VA programs, federal regulations, and strong communication skills to guide students through enrollment, eligibility, and benefit usage while maintaining secure records.

Responsibilities

• Process VA enrollment certifications and adjustments in Enrollment Manager.
• Monitor student eligibility, academic progress, and program applicability.
• Respond to VA surveys and maintain annual VA training and certifications.
• Advise veterans on eligibility, usage, policies, payment timelines, and academic impact.
• Deliver outreach and ongoing advising to support student success and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with VA, DoD, and internal departments to resolve student issues.
