Job summary

DirectShifts is looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations. The provider will review Veterans' medical records and document findings according to VA guidelines.

The successful candidate must have an active NP or PA license and excel in clinical assessment and documentation skills. Flexible scheduling options available, including full-time, part-time, or PRN opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license required.
• Collaborative agreement with a supervising physician if required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and documentation before evaluations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare detailed medical reports on time.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams for timely evaluations.
