Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Registered Nurse for the Papillion, NE Community Living Center within the CHI Midlands Hospital Campus. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, coordinate education, and work with an interdisciplinary team to restore veterans to their highest well-being.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ADN/ Diploma with licensure).
• State licensure as a registered nurse upon appointment or during progression.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Coordinate patient education and self-management across the care continuum.
• Administer medications and procedures per policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve care outcomes.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support when needed.
