Job summary

HMR Veterans Services in Huntsville, AL seeks a dedicated Laundry Staff to support daily laundry operations in a respectful, patient-centered environment for our nation’s heroes.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry, maintain clean work areas, follow safety policies, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely service while maintaining resident confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day laundry operations to maintain a clean, sanitary facility.
• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing service for routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas and proper storage of equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and privacy rights.
• Follow established sanitation procedures and report any issues or accidents.
