Job summary

Veterans Benefits Administration seeks a Supervisory Veterans Service Representative to lead a division responsible for the delivery of VA benefit programs for Veterans, dependents, and beneficiaries. The incumbent directs staffing, training, and program activities, ensuring efficient resource use and high-quality service.

The role includes final authority on personnel actions in absence of the Veterans Service Center Manager, along with guidance to managers and regional directors, and

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 level.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Veteran benefit programs or VBA business lines.
• Experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
• Understanding of employee relations and labor practices.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and controls the work of the division.
• Directs staffing, placement, assignment, and training of division personnel.
• Directs program activities for the delivery of VA benefit programs.
• Forecasts workload and ensures resources; writes policies and procedures.
• Reviews complex cases prior to final claims determination.
