The Missouri Veterans Commission is seeking a Veterans Service Officer to help Veterans and their families obtain federal and state benefits they have earned. You will interview Veterans, review records, and prepare claims for disability, education, health care, and related benefits.

Position offers a meaningful role in serving Veterans, with opportunities for outreach and collaboration with partner organizations. Requires a Bachelor's degree and an honorable discharge from the U.S. military.

Formación

• Knowledge of federal and state benefits laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Knowledge of application and appeal processes for VA benefits.
• Ability to interview and interact with diverse individuals.
• Honorably discharged from U.S. military.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct interviews with Veterans and dependents.
• Review data to determine eligibility for Federal/State benefits.
• Develop claims packages for disability, education, health care, and other VA benefits.
• Maintain beneficiary claim files and prepare annual eligibility verifications.
• Represent MVC in outreach events and benefit fairs.
• Answer benefit questions from Veterans, dependents, legislators, and veteran organizations.
