Island Harvest on Long Island is seeking a community outreach and client services assistant to build relationships with senior housing communities and connect neighbors with resources.

You will assist with food distributions across Nassau and Suffolk, enroll new clients, and maintain the database. The role may require lifting 40 pounds and driving a non-CDL box truck with lift gate where needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience helping community members access services on Long Island.
• Preference for driving a non-CDL box truck with lift gate.
• Ability to lift 40-pound boxes for prolonged periods.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years’ experience in customer experience helping community members access services on Long Island.
• Previous experience driving a non-CDL box truck with lift gate preferred
• Ability to lift 40-pound boxes for prolonged periods of time.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Other:

• 40 hours per week Monday- Friday. Occasional Saturdays.
• Salary: $24.50 per hour
• Work in Nassau and Suffolk only
