Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance technicians in a food manufacturing plant in the United States.

You will coordinate preventative maintenance, drive equipment reliability, and uphold strict safety standards to ensure production continuity. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of maintenance leadership, an associate degree or technical certificate, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical program certificate; OR 5+ years of related experience and training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance lead or supervisor with direct reports. Proven experience directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC systems. Experience developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
• Excellent communication: verbal and written; strong listening and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and equipment repair schedules
• Monitor and reduce machine downtime through efficient troubleshooting and repairs
• Diagnose and assist with resolution of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related issues
• Promote and enforce a “Safety First” culture across the maintenance team
• Ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, and food safety standards
• Assist in training, evaluating, and developing maintenance employees
• Partner with production and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Perform additional duties as required to support business operations
