Job summary

Mental Health America of WI seeks an R&R House Manager for our Veteran Peer Run Respite. This full-time role (32 hrs/week) oversees daily operations and staff to maintain a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental environment for veterans.

Duties include supervising staff, coordinating schedules, providing one-on-one and group peer support, facilitating trainings, and collaborating with partners to expand services while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must identify as a person with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges.
• Eligibility to become a certified peer specialist and maintain certification.
• Strong understanding of recovery principles and cultural competence.
• Ability to work autonomously within a coordinated team and comply with regulations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Pass caregiver background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and supervise staff for the house 24/7.
• Develop relationships with guests and support personal recovery goals.
• Coordinate staff schedules and ensure full staffing.
• Educate peers, providers and the community.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and document management.
• Attend trainings and act as a role model for recovery.
• Collaborate with agencies and programs to expand services.
