Job summary

The PTSD Foundation of America is seeking a Veteran Coordinator in Dallas, TX to advance the Outreach Program's mission by promoting evidence-based peer mentoring for Combat Veterans and their families.

You will run and report on veteran groups, respond to crises, track attendance and progress, and collaborate with partners. Travel up to 75% and complete required certifications within six months, with benefits including health coverage and life insurance.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of lived experience.
Complete 30-hour Care and Counsel for Combat Trauma class, CPR certification, and ASIST within 6 months of employment.
Completed MHPS, RSPS, and CISM or state equivalent within 6 months of employment.
Competency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Willingness to travel frequently (75%).
Experience facilitating meetings.
Self-care practices to maintain safety and growth.

Responsibilities

Promote Combat Trauma Support Groups while tracking attendance.
Collaborate with colleagues, external audiences, and supportive services for Veterans.
Facilitate support groups and member one-on-ones.
Respond to Veteran crises.
Track progress of Veterans through Camp Hope and external programs.
Provide detailed reports or presentations to management.
