Job summary

University of Texas at Austin seeks a Texas Veteran and Military Student Experience Coordinator on the UT Main Campus. This role drives campus-wide initiatives to improve enrollment, success, and graduation for military-affiliated students, from inquiry through graduation and beyond.

The coordinator partners with Admissions, advisors, and employers to deliver targeted programs, guidance, and events, ensuring a coordinated student experience across the Forty Acres.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in guidance, advising, or program support.
• Ability to communicate with military-connected students and diverse populations.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking.
• Ability to learn complex processes and policies in support of student success.
• Commitment to supporting military-connected students or other student populations.
• Familiarity with education benefits and related resources.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Office of Admissions to support outreach, engagement, and recruitment for military-affiliated students.
• Advise prospective military-affiliated applicants on admissions and transfer credit evaluation.
• Maintain ongoing communication with students from inquiry through enrollment and early transition.
• Develop and coordinate programs to support enrollment, retention, and graduation of veteran and military-affiliated students.
• Collaborate with advisors and campus partners to address academic challenges and connect with resources.
• Lead career development programming tailored to military and veteran students.
• Coordinate with campus partners on events, employer panels, and experiential learning opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of military-affiliated applicants and enrolled students.
