Job summary

Kia VTAP Apprenticeship Program invites veterans to begin a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. The program supports diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on Kia vehicles, using Kia strategies and tools to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.

As a full-time opportunity with participating Kia Retailers, VTAP provides hands-on training, access to equipment, and a structured path toward Kia Service Technician certification, with strong employer support for veterans.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge is required.
• Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical / mechanical field is required.
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests in line with Kia and retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose/repair components using Kia diagnostic strategies, equipment, and tools.
• Perform services in a timely fashion while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to promote an optimal customer experience.
