Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) seeks qualified military Veterans to begin a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. This full-time opportunity is offered through participating Kia Retailers and provides access to tools, equipment, and training to achieve Kia Service Technician certification.

The program requires an honorable discharge, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and experience in a technical field.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Willingness to complete drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles and systems.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia/retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose components using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Communicate with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a good customer experience.
